1 min read

(28 Nov 2019) Sri Lanka’s newly elected President Gotabaya Rajapaksa arrived in New Delhi on Thursday for his first official foreign visit after being voted into power.
Rajapaksa is expected to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian President Ram Nath Kovind during his three-day visit to India.
Part of the SLPP, the Sri Lanka People’s Front, Rajapaksa was voted into office earlier this month.
It was the first election in the country since the deadly Easter Sunday attacks killing more than 250 people.
