Typhoon Kammuri has made landfall in the Philippines. The powerful storm is whipping up waves and bringing torrential rains and winds topping 150 kilometres per hour. It’s now heading towards the Philippine capital of Manila. The typhoon caused power outages in several provinces, where more than two hundred thousand people have fled to safety. Manila’s international airport has suspended operations, and events currently underway Southeast Asian Games have been cancelled.
